A city’s vitality and diversity depend on the consistent development and maintenance of decent affordable housing. As a nonprofit developer, BNT partners with other organizations and institutions to produce and rehabilitate multiunit properties to help meet the city’s affordable housing needs.
Fairfield County Housing Partnership
BNT is partnering with Fairfield County Housing Partnership to construct 4 four-family homes in Bridgeport’s East End.
South End Apartments
In the South End, lots and buildings that have long stood empty are being transformed from neighborhood eyesores into community assets. The City chose BNT and its partner, The Community Builders, to develop 100 units of public housing in the South End, replacing the apartments lost in the demolition of Pequonnock Towers.
Homeownership Housing
At the City’s request, BNT and The Community Builders are developing 100 units of homeownership housing. These units will consist of single family homes, duplexes, and small condominium complexes that blend public and private ownership. BNT has begun identifying sites and creating preliminary architectural plans.
